Working with catalogues between Elements and Lightroom

I would like to transfer my elements 19 organiser catalogue and associated photo files to a new computer with Lightroom classic. Help needed on how to do that please.

Can you temporarily install Lightroom CLassic on the old computer? If you do that, does LrC find the PSE catalog and convert it?

Thank you Per Bernstein for the link. This does not seem to cover my case. My Elements Organiser Catalogue and photo files are on old laptop and Lightroom Classic is on new laptop. I can use "full backup" from old laptop to an external hard drive but then the Lightroom Classic on new laptop does not find a supported catalogue file on the external drive to allow import. Is there a solution in this scenario? Thanks
