XMP files on MacBook Pro

On 3 of my 21 LRC imports, I notice a single XMP file showing up on my external SSD. I don't understand what it is, where it came from and why does it only appear on 3 of the imports. All images came from same camera, same sd card and imported the exact same way.

 Thank You.

The XMP file is generally the sidecar file that accompanies a RAW file when edits are made.

This might prove helpful.

Just wondering why it's only in 2 imports. I have yet to do any editing. Still importing images and setting up folders. Not sure how or why it would be in there.
