Since I organize my photos by date, each day having its own folder, I now have around 4000 folders in my main LR catalog. This means that my "Folder" list on the left side of the screen is very long and quite cumbersome to navigate via mouse / trackpad scrolling.
Assume that you have a folder selected. It would make it much easier to quickly move through a long list of folders if I had keyboard shortcuts to do the following operations:
- Go to Next folder (e.g. Command - Control - Up arrow)
- Go go Previous folder (e.g. Command - Control - Down arrow)
- Page up through folder list (e.g. Command - Control - Page up)
- Page down through folder list (e.g. Command - Control - Page down)
- Top of folder list (e.g. Command - Control - Shift - Up arrow)
- Bottom of folder list (e.g. Command - Control - Shift - Down arrow)
Some "nice to have" features:
- Jump to folder (opens a dialog and you can type in the name of the folder you want. Should ideally whittle down the list of folders as you type showing only matching folders)
- Filter folder list
I hope that other folks would also find these useful.
Thanks!
