P: Photoshop mobile saving back to LrM-- file limited to size of LR's smart preview

I understand that when we work in Lightroom mobile we are working on smart previews that are 2560 x 2560, and that the changes sync back to Lightroom Classic so that we can export at whatever size we want. However, if you "edit in Photoshop" from Lightroom on the iPad, Photoshop is working on a file that's 2560 x 2560. And that's the size that saves back to Lightroom mobile as a TIF. So one could spend 2 hours cleaning up and editing a file in Photoshop, only to have the largest size the resulting image could be limited to 2560 x 2560. The Photoshop edits do not sync with your original raw file in Lightroom. This is a huge problem if you want to export your photos from Lightroom Classic at a larger size. Can Adobe address this in a future update?

Please add your vote to: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-ideas/p-should-be-able-to-sync-full-raw-files-to-th... The only way to fix this issue is for Lightroom Classic to sync full raw to the cloud as that is the only way Photoshop on your iPad could ever edit the full size image.

The only way around this is to run Lightroom Desktop at the side and after you sync the smart preview from Classic, also import the full rraw into Lightroom Desktop. It will get linked automatically to the same image in the cloud and you will be able to edit the full size image on your iPad. Would be way better if Classic could sync full sized raw.

Unlike Lightroom, Photoshop is a 'destructive' editor. It changes the pixels. That means there is no way you can 'sync' Photoshop edits like you can sync Lightroom edits. If you start with a 2560 pixels file in Photoshop, then that's what you will get. You have two options right now:

1: Do not send a file from Lightroom mobile to Photoshop mobile if you need that Photoshop file to be larger than 2560 pixels wide. Do your Photoshop work on your computer.

2: Import the raw file in Lightroom desktop, so the original raw file is synced to the cloud, not just a smart preview. Lightroom desktop will replace any existing smart preview, so this also works for images that were already synced by Lightroom Classic.
