Batch File extension in Lightroom

I am very new to Lightroom, so bare with me.
I am wondering if there is a way to automate changing the file extension from JPEG to .1 in Lightroom (completely removing the .JPEG to only have the extension as .1). The .1 is to upload my front view of the image into my image vault, and then later I will automate .2 to upload my side facing of the image.

    At my workplace we use JDA, it is a Space Planning application. This application only accepts images that are saved to our computers with .1 and .2 file extensions so the app can read it. Unfortunately, the Space Planners currently have to manually change the file extensions to .1 so it will automate into JDA. I thought maybe there would be a solution in an Adobe app, but it looks like I will have to consult a JDA data expert.

     

     

    Sorry, but I have to call this as I see it. Absolute rubbishy.

     

    Now I went on the web to see just what the heck this high sounding software or service is. A complicated bit of Supply/Losgistics software, Very poor web support on their page, probably becaus it is for a different market with a different mindset.

     

    Googled "jda software insert image format" and got :

    Talks about png format, not some non existant .1 format.

     

    Someone defiantly needs to talk to a system use expert at JDA.

    The extension (in this case jpg) not only indicates what type of computer file it is, it serves to tell the computer how to deal with it. If you change that extension then the computer won't recognize what type of file it is, and therefore won't recognize it and won't know what application to associate with it. Your idea really isn't a good one.

        Changing the file extension is a really bad idea.

         

        You can easily add a "_1" and "_2" to the file names during the export process.

            I have read your inquiry several times and it still makes absolutly no sense. Why do you want to frag up your file? Not one single application on your computer will know that the file is an image. Leave file extensions alone.
