Blue stripes in image in LR and export

After exporting a number of photos I suddenly noticed dark/blue vertical stripes running through several of the exported images. On returning to LR, these are now visible there as well  (particularly in the thumbnail), although I'm certain they weren't there previously. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Is it possible to restore individual images from backup?

Many thanks

This looks like banding caused by using an electronic shutter under artificial light.

Googling, "electronic shutter banding" will show articles explaining this phenomenon and ways to reduce the effect on your existing files.

If you set your camera to "mechanical shutter" you don't get this effect.

Thank you - I've now looked this up and you're absolutely right, that's exactly what it is. I didn't even know that was an issue, but you learn something new everyday. Second thing I'm going to need to learn is how to fix it in Photoshop! Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Interesting... they're not solid lines though. You may be able to see a dark patch on the back of her hand under the baby's bottle? There's another running down through her face, mouth and chest, as well as a number of others.

I see the artifacts now, clearly not some sort of shadow. As far as I know, the best way to diagnose this is to make the original RAW photos available on DropBox or some similar services and then provide the link, so we can look at it more carefully.

Also check the Develop history in Lightroom to see if there are any brush strokes or even radial filters that might be causing this.

Call me crazy, but I'm not seeing dark blue vertical stripes in this image. Can you tell me where I should be looking?
