Question

Can I find out if my Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 license has been previously used?

I wondered if anyone can help me with a question?

I recently purchsed 2 Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 programs (standalone boxed disc types) and was going to sell one as I don't need two. My question is..Is it possible to find out if the License No. has been previously used/registered without having to divulge it somewhere?

Someone who is interested in buying it is asking if has been used/registered before, and although I purchased it "as new" I wondered if I could check out its "new-ness" somehow before sending off to a buyer?

Thanks for any help or knowledge if possible

They were boxed..but had been opened previously. The place I got them always opens the items I buy and mark them to prevent store returns. I suppose I will have to trust it is fine and trust who I sell the spare one to will not skank me and be honest..if there is no other way to check these sort of things..I appreciate you opinions and help guys..Gary

    Did you buy them NEW?

If you didn't buy them as New from an authorized Adobe Reseller then more than likely both have been registered by someone else.

    Just my Opinion.

You could try to Register those serial numbers under your Adobe ID account and see if they turn up as having been already registered under some other account. If they have it will reject the registration under your Adobe ID.

Other than that I don't think there is a way to check it.

Thanks for answering. I get stuff from John Lewis (over-stocked stuff etc.) so they said they were new, but you never know if someone has taken the number and used it??

Anyone could buy it from me, install it and then just say it has been used and I would know no different would I??

    Thanks anyway.

The serial numbers for Adobe products are always Inside the packaging, never on the outside. So if they were sealed when you got them then the serial numbers have never been used.

    Caveat Emptor.
