Does the LR 7.3.x preset conversion maintain the folder structure?

I am still on LR Classic 7.2 (win10).

When LR 7.3.x converts the old *.LrTemplate dev presets to the new *.XMP format in the ACR folders, does the conversion maintain the old folder structure?

My LR 7.2 dev presets are in nine (9) subfolders. Will they still be in nine subfolders, or will they all be dumped into one folder during the conversion?

All my presets were in one folder but Lr 7.3.1 develop presets may have folders but the preset arrangement in the panel does not reflect the arrangement on disk as the XMP presets use GROUPS and the group is part of the XMP preset.  See here for more info from an Adobe Engineer

Following up on an old email....

I ended up skipping 7.3.x and waited for 7.4.

In 7.4, LR did maintain the folder structure of my presets during the conversion, both on disk and in the Preset panel.

Be aware that folders have no relevance anymore. The groups are now stored inside the preset itself. So even if the conversion maintained the folder structure, you can't use that structure anymore in the way you did in the past. If you add a new preset to such a folder, it will not show in that group in Lightroom. You have to manage your presets from within Lightroom now.

Yes, that is important to note.

The "group" is also an unnecessary redundancy in the XMP file, but someone probably thought it was important.
