I am on the latest version of High Sierra. I am wondering if a eGPU will be supported in Lightroom CC? (The eGPU is a vega 64, officially recommened by Apple).

I am trying to use this scenario with a 13 inch MacBook Pro and and Razer X / AMD RX Vega 56 combination. Mac OS is recognising the eGPU, DaVinci Resolve as well, but neither LR or PS are recognising it,

So what eGPU is it (exact make and model) and what version of Lightroom do you have (exact version NUMBER and not words like "current")?

LR 7.3.1 on a Mac. I could identify parts of the problem in the meantime. LR will only recognise the eGPU if you connect an external monitor to it and open LR on that monitor. Thats not my understanding of how an eGPU should be used but maybe it is the right way for them.

If the specs of this eGPU meet the minimum requirements for a GPU to be used for GPU acceleration in Lightroom, then I would assume it works. Adobe Lightroom GPU Troubleshooting and FAQ
