Question

File association for Photo Viewer in Win 10

I have a Win 10 machine and LR Classic CC.  When I export an image for email and select the full size option, I get images that are vertically distorted and compressed.  I think it has to do with the software I have associated with the Photo Viewer. I have associated  different viewers  - Windows Photo Viewer, Photos and Irfanview 32 bit - all give similar  distorted results.  If I go to a lower resolution, it works fine.

Ideas? Thanks John in Kansas

    Which exact version of Lightroom?

Which camera did the files come from? Raw or JPG?

    What are your export settings?

Can you link us to an example distorted file to we can see what you are seeing?

Wait a minute, how are you exporting?

not at a computer, clearly I will need to get on one to understand how e-mail got into this.

Sounds like Ike you are using the LR mail feature, never used that, so...

Instead, right click on the image, select export, in the dialog, for file type choose JPEG, you want sRGB, and limit size based on long side length.
