Hi folks,

I use LR 6.1 and now I would install LR CC newest.
It's possiple to use the old LR 6.1 paralell to LR CC?

    They can use the same catalog if you want.

    I don't understand what possible benefit there would be, sometimes accessing the catalog with LR 6.1 and other times with LR CC. It just seems to me that if you have LR CC, you have every feature in LR 6 and some features that aren't in LR 6, so why use LR 6? You are just asking for trouble.

    But the more I think about it, the more I wonder if you can have two installations of the same version of LR (well, essentially the same version, LR 6 is the same installer file and executable as LR CC) on a single PC. Maybe it's not possible. (LR 6 and LR 5 installed on the same computer is possible, but you would only do this for very special reasons, you wouldn't in general want two different versions of LR on the same computer).

    Possible? Maybe.

    Good idea? No. You want one catalog and one software. Anything else is a recipe for confusion.

    I also don't see any benefit to using both LR CC and LR 6 on the same computer.

      I've thought that both versions are use the same catalog.
