Just updated Lightroom, and now can't edit in Photoshop

This is the second time I've had to come here for the same problem.

So I just updated LR, and just exactly as it did last time, when I opened the updated version, I can no longer edit in Photoshop. Greyed out. Why are the Lightroom updates killing its own access to Photoshop? Is there a way to fix this (although I can't see how I'm updating "wrong')? How do I get Photoshop back into LR?

I'm on a Mac, OS Sierra.

Restart your Mac.

Open PS and then LR. Does the PS option then come to life?

That was the first thing I tried yesterday. Didn't work. For the hell of it, I tried again after I read your response, and that time it worked. I'm at a loss. That said, thanks for the assist!
