Lightroom 6 will not launch any more on Win 10

New Here ,
Jun 27, 2017 Jun 27, 2017

Launch of the program fails with following error:

Procedure entry point AgTransitCargo_pushTransitCargo could not be located in the dynamic link library , C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom\wichitafoundation.dll.

I've tried all possible troubleshooting procedures described in your forum with no success. I tried:

-Reregister AGKernel.dll with Windows: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/249873

-Repair Windows: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833

-Install all available updates for Windows: Install Windows updates

-Uninstall and reinstall Lightroom

I re-installed MS Visual basic C++ 2012. Uninstalled and re-installed LR 6

Windows 10 is fully updated.

Please provide solution or fix this issue as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Abaz

Hi,

I have an identical problem and tried your solution using Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.

Unfortunately it did not find anything to "uncomment" other than "removeFlashPlayer" and

Adobe Id Credentials"

Spent hours to get to that point. I feel cheated by Adobe.

How can I get my Lightroom back??   PLEASE HELP!

The latest version of LR is 2015.12.

Update to that version and see if you still have the problem.

Thank you for your input.

However that is what precipitated the onset of my problem. The  attempted update to CC 2015.12. /6.12 resulted in

the situation I am in. My LR 6.10.01 was running fine. The CC seems to have created a conflict somewhere during the update

process.

May have to try Windows restore to the date prior to the update. Hope that will help.

Finally found a wonderful and easy resolution, just install LR6 on another computer "computer 2" and once done go to  C:\prgram files\adobe\lightroom  of computer 2.then copy all files under Lightroom.

Then delete all files under corrupted Lightroom on computer 1....then open LR and it should work. 🙂
