Lightroom Classic CC Publish Services Disappears If Collections Is Opened

I need help !!!

Whenever I open the Collections on the left side panel, Publish Services completely disappears.  If I hide Collections such that Catalog and Folders are open (but Collections closed) Publish Services reappears.  If I hide Catalog and Folders and open Collections, Publish Services disappears.  I have pretty much verified that it is the Collection panel being open that makes Publish Services disappear.

What is going on??  Publish Services is based on Collections and is totally and completely USELESS with Collections closed.  I have the Panel End Mark displayed so I KNOW that Publish Services is not just further down the panel.  It has disappeared completely

I have the latest version of LR Classic CC (all updates installed) running on an ultra high-end Windows 7 machine and I am having absolutely NO other issues with LR and PS.  I have shut down the computer and restarted with no change.

I could sure use some help.  I am at my wits end with this LR software !!!!!  I have had more issues with LR since the big update to improve speed than in the entire past decade.  Super frustrating for sure

    Does it completely disappear, or does it close. In any case, right-click on an empty space in one of the headers. That will give you a pop-up menu where you can show/hide individual blocks and/or activate 'Solo Mode' (automatically close other blocks). Check Publishing services if it is unchecked.

    Thanks for the reply but I have already ensured Publish Services is checked “On” but it makes no difference.

    As soon as I open Collections, Publish Services in its entirety goes away or disappears; I don’t think it is closing although I am not sure what the visual difference between the two “states” would look like. This problem only happens when Collections is opened.

    This defeats the purpose of Publish Services since it uses Collections. I mean I have to select a Collection and then be able to get to Publish Services so that it can be published to Dropbox. But every single time I open Collections, Publish Services disappears.

    Admittedly, I have a lot of Collections but it is hard to imagine there is some numerical limit that causes LR to cease working; at least the Publish Services portion.  I have 25,000 images and hundreds of Collections in a single catalog but as I said, hard to inagine this is the problem. There are photographers who have hundreds of thousands of photographs and I am sure many more Collections.

    i have closed LR and restarted the computer and restarted LR but the problem persists.

    Any additional thoughts would be appreciated.

    I don’t currently even have a workaround to this problem. I guess I could export the Collection to my desktop and then physically drag the folder into the Dropbox folder on my desktop. That might work but what a nuisance!!!!!
