Question

Lightroom Classic Develop mode won't show image but Library mode will

I've scoured the hundreds of posts on this same issue, however it IS NOT a GPU problem as GPU acceleration isn't even supported with my system, and it is not the monitor color profile either, I tried. There still remains a gray screen in the develop module, and the editing settings are all grayed out. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling. HELP PLEASE! I'm so frustrated. I revamped my old pc and monitor JUST for photo editing, I don't want to go back to my tiny laptop. Might switch to Capture One Pro if Adobe can't solve this.

To build on Theresa_J's suggestion, in LR do the menu command Help > Sign Out followed by Help > Sign In. That has resolved this issue for at least a few others.

"it is not the monitor color profile either, I tried"

If you recalibrated, that may not be a sufficient test. The best test is to temporarily set the display profile to be sRGB, as described here:

Yes that's what I'm saying, I already did this.

Is your creative cloud subscription current and are you signed into it with the Creative Cloud desktop app?
