Hi, My lightroom catalogue  has disappeared on my pc, (wondows 7, and i like windows 7) working fine the day before, went to the creative cloud shortcut to open the apps, LR/PS has disappeared and cc short cut would not work. I guess an update to  LR/PS  does not not like windows 7 any more?  I do not want the update i would just rather work with the older version that was working just great. the day before.  Why do they do this automatically?   How can i get back to that older version of CC or LR.  I am quite fed up with these updates that i do not want. I pay my money each month and just want it to stay as it was.  Can any one help me to a link for the older version. with all my work within that catalogue back ?  Thank you so much

Maggie

You should be able to install Lightroom Classic 9.4 (the last version that works on Windows 7) via these isntructions: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html

That really doesn't help if your catalog has really "disappeared", I'm not sure what you mean. Did you actually use Windows Explorer to search all hard disks for your catalog file and it no longer exists?

I moved your post over from the "Using the Community" forum, which is for getting help using this forum system, to a better forum.

I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

Yes, once you are running unsupported systems it's VITAL to turn off automatic update. Do that first, them use the CC app to show and download the older apps. You can go back one version only. In general, automatic update should be off for anyone with work to do. Beware: since you can go back only one version, if you need to reinstall after the next version is released, you will be stuck without anything at all.

Thank you, does that mean i will have to upgrade to windows 10?  I have heard such bad things about windows 10 i have not bothered because 7 works so well,
