You can get the direct shots from the camera can be viewed in Lightroom after you press shutter.

Thanks Mohit. I can see the shots AFTER I press the shutter, but I would like to see the full screen of the photo, live, BEFORE I press the shutter.

Thanks Jim. Seems odd that for a powerful 'photography' application such as Lightroom doesn't have this facility. Glad I only bought the upgrade. I'll move away from it now.
