Lightroom Not Responding

The latest version of LR is not responding. I have shut it down and rebooted it, closed down the computer and rebooted it, and uninstalled via the app, and then reinstalled. It simply will not work. I am running the latest version of Windows 10 on a more than ample computer

how did u fix this? i am having the same problem and i need lightroom. 😞 . If u did fix it that is...

You are replying to a year old thread that it seems was resolved by the OP getting someone to Format and Reinstall everything on his computer. And THAT, possibly, fixed the problem for him.

 

You should start your own conversation and give as much details on your system and the LrC version you are using.

While you are at it note that your GPU driver is not up to date

thank you for spotting this! You wouldn't believe that I have just paid a professional to diagnose and fix the problems with my computer, including format, upgrade and reinstallation

Did you have an up proper shutdown or crash of Lightroom? Did perhaps the lock file not get deleted?

Lightroom catalog cannot be opened

The people at Adobe have repeatedly told me that the lock file not deleting should not matter.

What actions do you perform in Lightroom when this not responding happens? Please be specific.

Please tell us the version NUMBER of your Lightroom, and not words like "latest".

I click on "import" and it hangs. It is the latest update of Lightroom Classic. I have now reinstalled TWICE and it still will not work.
