LR Classic 8.3.1 crashing after modifying large amounts of metadata

This has now happened multiple times:

1. Open LR (8.3.1 build 201905241238-dcd7e2de) in Win 10 on PC (with 4k monitor)

2. Run a good deal of metadata modification - tagging location, keywording, people)

3. Experience occasional non-response but LR comes back but then non-response turns into a crash.

4. The crash report appears on the screen but disappears before I have time to enter any info.

5. Reload LR, it checks the catalogue and restarts - do not need to reboot PC to restart LR.

Thoughts?

Hi Simonf,

Sorry that Lightroom Classic 8.3.1 is crashing after a lot of metadata editing is done.

Could you please try turning off the GPU option from Lightroom's preferences? Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom and let us know if it helps?

Thanks,

Akash
