Hi, old computer challanged poster. How do I upgrade my LR5 to the latest version of 6 without going cloud. Happy to pay the $79. Just need some A,B,C,D handholding. Adobe chat not answering.....

    Certainly (from Australia) Version 6.14 is still available to buy-

    Download and install Lightroom 6 (Single App license)

    All the instructions are here and Step3 indicates  -How to choose the License upgrade

    and the link on this page takes me to the "Products" page where Lightroom-6 is available.

    Adobe products: desktop, web, and mobile applications | Adobe

    When installed, check Version in Menu > Help > System Info.  If you see 6.0, You may need to also download and apply the 6.14 patch update.

      The product names have been changed, thus causing lots of confusion.

      The current version of "Lightroom Classic CC" is 7.x, which is available by subscription only. This is the version that stores all the images locally on your computer.

      "Lightroom CC" 1.x is a new web-based app that stores all the images on Adobe's servers. You probably do NOT want this version.

      Version 6.x is old software and probably no longer available for sale. (Someone correct me if I am wrong.)
