Lumix G9 Lightroom can't read raw files

I have just bought the new Lumix G9 but I get the message that Lightroom can't read the raw files when I try to import them.  It only imports the jpeg versions.  How do I fix that?  I am using a Mac and Lightroom Classic.  Thanks

Which version of Lightroom do you use? Please post the exact version number.

You can also take a look here: Cameras supported by Camera Raw

As you can see you need the latest versions of Lightroom, 6.14 for the perpetual license and 7.1 for Lightroom Classic CC.

    Hi Alex

I am on the subscription based Lightroom classic 2015.12.   As far as I am aware I am on the latest version as it is updated regularly with the subscription service.  I have looked at Cameras supported by Camera Raw and it seems to support the G9 as shown here.

Not sure what I need to do next but I will call tech support and see if they can fix the issue.  Thank you for your help.

Launch Creative Cloud and go to the Apps tab. Install Lightroom Classic (v7.1) which is the latest version.

Thank you.  I am updating the Photoshop CC and Camera Raw CC now but the Lightroom Classic CC says it is up to date.

I will update once it has finished updating.  Fingers crossed
