Print preview in Lightroom classic not working

I'm using a new computer with Windows 10 (64) and Lr Classic - the print preview no longer works. I have it selected in the printer dialogue box but when I go to print it goes straight to the printer and doesn't show the preview.

The Lightroom Print Module screen is the Lr preview!

IF you are expecting the process to pause at a preview screen AFTER you press [Print] in Lr, then it would be the Printer software Interface that provides the preview you are expecting. Check your Printer manual.

Thanks, once I attached the printer to the network I was able to access all of the print utility functions! just didn't like the usb connection

had to move printer to network connection (rather than usb) then everything worked again
