"mysterious" folder occupies disc space

Hello.

I'm using Lightroom Classic CC just for a couple of weeks and have less experience.

Wondering about low space on my system drive I explored a "mysterious" folder:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom CC\Data\ac67188...8fe2b1a59177\originals

There I found a lot of my photos of the original location as a copy. Seems almost a complete backup. I've no idea for what this could be. I investigated all preferences-menues I've found without success.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

David

This relates to Lr CC, not Lr Classic. The originals will relate to recently imported files directly into LR CC or mobile devices. They eventually drop out of the cache automatically. If everything is backed up to the cloud you can delete everything in the originals folder manually, if preferred.

Ok, that makes sense. I only made a short look into Lr CC and started the upload but when I discovered that the 25 GB are not enough for what I choosed to upload I stopped and left the program. At this time almost nothing was backed up online.

    Thanks.
