Serial Key invalid - no way to solve this.

Hello, I don't think this is solvable but might as well try.

I purchased a copy of Lightroom. The disk doesn't read from the laptop as I dropped it, but I didn't know this until

I had some silly error about my import catalog or something and I ended up unable to restart Lightroom so I uninstalled it. No big deal until now I can't install it. The drive won't read it at all. I tried to Install and License the software online, and it won't accept the serial at all... This is killing me!!! Is there any possible way anyone knows how I can get this installed again? TIA, Diane
