Tethering a Camera

I subscribe to Lightroom and have it on my desktop. My Nikon D750 will tether fine to the desktop.

On my laptop which has Lightroom 5.7.1 it does not recognize the camera. Is there any way I can make this work.

Thanks

You need a minimum of v6.0 see: A list of cameras that can be tethered to Lightroom.

You can always use another solution such as DigiCamControl and set up the destination folder a watched folder in LR 5.7.1

I recently purchased a new Mac desktop, running Sequoia 15.3.1, and also purchased a new tether cord from reputable site. My Lightroom doesn't recognize my Nikon D750.  I can use Image Capture with tether, but that's really annoying.  I gave Lightroom Full Disk Access (previously suggested), but still nothing.  Is this Adobe problem or a Mac problem???

You’ve posted to an ancient thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same one you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better off posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information, including system information, a complete description of the problem, and step-by-step instructions for reproduction.

If the issue is the same, we will merge you back into the appropriate location.

This thread will be locked.

    Thank you!
