Unable to Import Watermarks to LR Classic

I am on an iMAC, and transferred watermarks from LR on my MBP to this computer but they will not work over here.....

The watermarks show up in the watermarks, but they do not display on the selected image so unable to continue with workflow or export.

QUESTION: are water marks LR version specific or something else?

You can also open the Watermark Editor while in the Library module and then select the Watermark from the drop down in the upper left hand corner of that dialog window. Try moving it to another location and then back to the original and then saving it.

Please describe the step you took in copying them over from another computer to your present computer and the folder you placed them in.

Also the steps you are using to adding a watermark to an exported image.

If in the export dialog window and you click on a watermark that you have copied over can you then Edit that watermark in the Watermark editor?

Thank you for taking the time to respond! I have used LR since 1.0 I guess so I am not new to this platform or PS.

On the MBP, I found the folder where all the watermarks are located and selected the ones I needed for this project and sent them to myself in an email and opened them on the iMAC.

From there I copied them to the appropriate LIBRARY folder on the iMAC>application support>adobe>lightroom>watermarks

I saw the existing watermarks so i knew I was in the right folder.

As I have done a thousand times, I select a range of images for export and pick a watermark, but this time I select edit a watermark to verify they all copied over. They all appear in the drop down but when selected, I see an empty dotted box where the watermark should be, no matter what imported watermark I select.

The existing watermarks behave just fine.....I tried to resave the watermark while in the watermark editor and that made no difference.

Thoughts-

Does the iMac have the fonts that were used in the MBP?

If a graphic, does the graphic image file exist in the same folder location in both computers? (The watermark Preset also needs the graphic image file)
