Community Beginner ,
Dec 19, 2017 Dec 19, 2017

Hope someone can help me on this one.  I have version 6.13 of Lightroom. I've tried updating to the new version, but all I am getting on the update, is the following:

Your applications are all up to date.  Any thoughts?

The link in reply #1 has links to both Application Installer and LR 6.14 download.

All download links to v6.14 have disappeared! (noted as at 12/12/2019)

The only way to obtain older versions now is to contact Adobe Customer Care-

And see "Software Support" page-

Thanks for the link. But, After downloading the proper zip file to update from  6.13 to 6.14,  and unzipping the file, nothing happened? My lightroom program hasn't changed? Can anyone provide a bit of direction? Thanks

After unzipping the file, you have to double-click on the installer to actually perform the installation.

Good grief!  Thanks for your direction on this, but I am stuck again.  I don't find an installer application on the download zip file.  I did notice an installer on the adobe page for the Cloud, but this is a stand alone application.  Any suggestions?

What did you find in the zip file?

Folder: payloads

AdobePatch

Once I opened the Payloads folder I found 6 files:  The first file is Adobelightroom, which contained 6 more files including the Assets1_1.zip file which I opened.  Every other file I clicked on did not contain an installer.

Well since I haven't actually done this with 6.14 (last time I did this was 6.13), I don't know.

If you downloaded the right file, one of the items in the zip file ought to be the installer. So perhaps you downloaded the wrong file? What was the EXACT name of the file you downloaded?

Did you try running “AdobePatch”? I suspect it is “.exe” and you have extensions hidden.

You should not tamper with the contents of the Payload folder.

Thanks for you assistance, but no luck! ... this shouldn't be this difficult .... I clicked on the Adobe patch and found this: Adobe Application Manager maybe be damaged. Download and install a new copy of Adobe Application Manager.

Well, then, somehow you have a corrupted Application Manager Program. So, you will have to re-install Lightroom (use the link I gave earlier, download and install the Application Installer) and then install 6.14 from the files you have downloaded.

The link to the download for the Adobe Application Manager takes me to the Cloud applications.  I am not interested in the Cloud but simply updating my lightroom program?

Are you suggesting  the lightroom program needs to be reinstalled from scratch? Then the application manager?

Incorrect. it installs either LR CC 2015 or LR depending on what license you have, you will get one or the other. If you don't have a license for the Lightroom CC 2015, you will not get Lightroom CC 2015.

If you're looking for the Lightroom 6 .14 update for Windows, go to the following website:

Download Photoshop Lightroom

Scroll down the page until you find this heading, which IS a link:

Capture.JPG

Click on that link and it will list all of the updates. The Mac updates will be listed first. Scroll down that list a bit, and you will see the Windows updates, which will look like this:

Capture2.JPG

The updates are cumulative, so if you are using ANY previous version of Lightroom 6, you only need to install the 6.14 update.

Hi dj_paige, thanks for all your advice to 'Billy The Kids', I've had the same problem... I've tried reinstalling the Application Installer and then tried downloading LR 6.14 but I'm still getting the UPDATE FAILED message saying the Application Manager may be damaged. I've even tried downloading 6.13 to see if that works but no joy. I'm trying to open the file 'AdobePatchInstaller.exe' - is this right?

Any advise would be gratefully received - I'm starting to lose the will!!

No sir.  The link you have provided, Download Photoshop Lightroom , DOES NOT have links to Lightroom 6.14 download.  Please explain where the correct link for this download can be found.  I would also like to know if anyone there can tell me how to fix the broken Lightroom Help item on the Lightroom 6 Help pulldown menu.  I paid $150 for Lightroom 6 on a DVD a while back, and right out of the box, the Lightroom Help link is broken.  Online help at Adobe is for later versions, especially subscription versions.  I thought Adobe was still supporting version 6.
