Using Nikon D7200 with Lightroom 6

I see there has been a legacy issue in viewing NEF files from a Nikon D7200 - but this is something I am experiencing for the first time.  I have Lightroom V6.12 and I cannot see or import RAW files from my D7200.  I have tried using the DNG converter, but that can't see the files either . . . Help!!

The D7200 has been supported since Lightroom 6.0 so it's not a matter of updating Lightroom. Version 6.0 supports it with no updating required.

Some older Nikon software is known to corrupt NEF files so they're unreadable by Lightroom. If you're using Nikon software anywhere in your workflow, try avoiding it and use other methods.

Thanks but the problem seems now to be despite Nikon software.  I have uploaded my most recent images using Bridge and not my usual Nikon app.  Could be be due to having Elements 12 on my PC? I understand that uses an incompatible version of ACR . .  could they be confusing each other?

    Cheers

Elements 12 has nothing to do with the Lightroom problem.

What does Lightroom do when you try to import these images?  Can you post a screen shot of your entire Lightroom Import window?
