The video player used inside Lightroom is different than the native Photos app.  If your videos were captured with HDR, Lightroom will seem to play them with more of an SDR appearance.  However, exporting with edits will export with HDR qualities again.  The Lightroom team continues to work on improving the experience, as we understand it is most useful to display HDR videos with HDR appearance while editing.

Hi all,

I am using Lightroom to edit my photos for many yeard and have no issues.

However, now I would like to also edit my videos (filmed via iPhone or DJI Mavic 2) and when I export them in Lightroom, they are automatically desatured (losing Colors).
Can you please let me know the reason? Do you know how to fix this issue?

I am editing via Lightroom for iPhone or Mac.

Many thanks for your help!

Sébastien

Hi guys, I've noticed that as I upload a video to edit, the default video becomes much lighter than the original one in the camera role. This doesn't allow me to edit them as per my choice as after saving that brightening automatically goes away again. Can you please help? Thanks

Olá, tudo bem? Nunca usei a comunidade para sanar dúvidas então relevem... Meu lightroom sempre funcionou perfeitamente!

For photos that have some HDR tonal quality, users can toggle on HDR manually for each photo in the Edit > Light menu.  For videos, there is not a toggle, and the Lightroom app video player will try to display HDR automatically.

Every new video I import into the app automatically gets very light and white. I have the raw default settings as "camera settings" but all of my videos look like "Adobe Default" is on it. It's frustrating because I can't properly use my presets to edit the videos and it won't let me click on the white balance tools. This seems to only happen with my videos and not photos.

É inviável a utilização do app Lightroom nessas condições atuais.

Hello,

Recently I've been having an issue when I try to upload and edit a video in Lightroom. When I upload a video, it completely changes the exposure, contrast level, and colors of my video. It makes look super washed out and dull, so much so I can't even fix it in the app. It also completely ruins the quality of my video. I was wondering if anyone can help me fix this problem. I'm editing in the mobile version, but I haven't had this issue with pictures, even in when editing in HDR it doesn't look this bad or the same at all. It seems like some sort of error, and there is no option to edit the video in HDR as it won't let me change that setting.

Olá!

Ao abrir um vídeo no aplicativo para editar está alterando a iluminação automaticamente. Ficando muito claro as fotos, porém ao verificar as edições está normal.

Isso está acontecendo apenas com vídeos, fotos está normal.

Utilizo o aplicativo no celular.

I have IOS 17.5.1 which is the latest update. My LR mobile app is also running on the most recent update. I am having the same exporting video edit issues. I've done zero cropping to the video. Literally just added a filter over my video. I've tried everything at this point to get it to work. The brighter screenshot of the video is from LR and when I go to export it, the edits are not transferring over. It looks like this has been an issue since 2022?! When is Adobe going to fix this? I'm paying for this app and am not able to use it the way it's

I have a handful of videos shot on iPhone 14 in HDR, and in ProresLT.  Some with the Apple camera app, some with the Blackmagic camera app.

They all import into Lightroom (iPad, but this holds on the desktop as well) and I can edit the color and am seeing an SDR preview, but on export they are still HDR and look completely different. I have tried exporting as "orginal and as an mp4 with the same result, or in some cases it failed to export at when set to mp4.

It is great to be able to import the HDR videos, but if you can't control the output or have it match the preview it just doesn't fly. Is there some way I am missing to expor the SDR version that we see in Lightroom?

Hi @heather_4753

Rikk mentioned a fix going out with our August release, but I believe this is not correct.  I believe developer have identified a solution, and the issue will be addressed by a future release.
