@Exds1970IS Let's try something.

  1. On your prefered surface, follow this path
    • Win: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom CC\Data\FirstLongAlphanumericFolderName/watermarks/SecondLongAlphanumericFolderName/LongWarermarkName.png'
    • MAC: /Users/YourUserName/Pictures/Lightroom Library.lrlibrary/FirstLongAlphanumericFolderName/watermarks/SecondLongAlphanumericFolderName/LongWarermarkName.png'
  2. Once you are in the last folder, you will find a PNG with a long alphanumeric name. Move this png to your desktop
  3. Take any other png and change the name to match the file you just moved to your desktop.
  4. Move your new, renamed png into the original folder
  5. Launch Lightroom
  6. Retry your export

I am expecting your new png to appear as your watermark. My hope is that will then allow you to replace it with a new watermark of your choosing. Please report back your result.

Also, whether this works or not, please send me a direct message and I will let you know how to send your problematic watermark png  to me. That will help us understand what is happening, and hopefully provide a fix.

Thanks for your help!

@Exds1970IS We've tried to repo the issue in-house and can't. Can you share a screen recording?

@Exds1970IS Can you tell us more about your watermark? If you are using text, does it still happen with a system font?  Or if you use only a few simple characters? If an image, can you tell us more about the image you are using? Thank you for your help as we look into your issue.

Hey, @Exds1970IS. Thanks for sharing the crash report. I'll help you figure this out.

You're working on macOS 15.1.1 and Lightroom 8.4 from the Mac App Store. The first step to troubleshoot is to update Lightroom to v8.5, which is available now. If it still does not help, could you update the macOS on your machine?

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

@Sameer K  I have updated Lightroom and it still crashes. It is a little problematic to update macOS since my computer does not support the next update.

Following is the new crash report:

Thanks for the update and sharing the crash logs. Here are a few things you can try:

1 - What kind of Watermark are you using, Text or Graphic? If it is graphic, try using a different asset as a test and check how it goes.

2 - Hold down Opt + Shift (Mac) while opening Lightroom. A prompt to reset the preferences should appear.

If the issue still exists, please record your screen in a video and share the video here, along with a few sample images and the graphic watermark, with me through direct messages on my profile.

Thanks!
