P: Update breaks the search filter for local storage

After update Lightroom from 7.5 to 8.0 on macOS, entering filename in filter bar to search photo is broken. No matter the full file name nor part of it.

A new update for Adobe Photography Products has been released.  The December update contains an update for this issue. 

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

These photos are on a external SSD drive formatted as APFS+

When I amworking on photos in a paticular folder in LR and I use the denoise feature it creats a DNG file. When I try to filter that folder to just show the DNG files I used to be able to just put DNG in the search bar and it would filter out all but the DNG files, now it won't do that. See attached screen shot.
