P: Watermark cut off at the bottom when exporting image

Since updating to the latest version of Lightroom, my watermarks have been cut off slightly at the bottom when exporting. This had never been a problem previously when I edited images in the same way. See attached a photo from before the update and how the watermark now appears.

Lightroom version: 5.2 x64 [ 20220128-1049-86119e0 ] (Jan 28 2022)

Operating system: Windows 10
OS Version: Windows 10 Home (2009)
Computer model: Acer Aspire A515-45 / AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics

It's still a problem - an annoying one!
And it's nearly Christmas 2023!

Forget that Adobe will solve this problem in the near future. You only need to look at the timestamp of the entries to see that while Adobe can make great software such as B Lightroom, but doesn't take us customers seriously at all. Why do photographers need an error-free watermark function 😉 In an emergency, I implemented the watermark as a graphic with Affinity Designer, which now also works in Lightroom. And by the way: If Adobe hadn't annoyed me so much, I would be using Adobe Illustrator today...

Do we have a fix for this already? I am still having this problem.

Just updated LR to the latest version last night (12.2) and I'm now having this issue but ONLY if I make a new watermark preset. I had an old preset that I didn't like the location of so I tried to alter and save, now it chops the bottom off my graphic, so I'm stuck with the crappy old location until this is fixed. Looks like it could be a while though?! Let's GO adobe!

Dear Adobe specialists!

Don't be angry with me, but now I just have to say it: It is unbelievable that the problem with truncated text watermarks has not been solved for months. As a Windows Software Egineer, I cannot understand that such a small problem cannot be solved by Adobe within a few days (very highly calculated). Am affected by this myself: In my watermark

T     H     O     M     A     S           R     U     F           F     O     T     O     G     R     A     F     I     E

the last "E" is no longer displayed, depending on the export resolution!

This is clearly a simple rounding error, which is also known to some Windows programmers. This can be due to font rounding errors during rendering or simply due to inaccurate calculation of the limiting borders.

Possible solution:Depending on the orientation of the watermark on the left, on the right or on both sides, add margin in the export source code (or spaces, which are taken into account). In any case, as an otherwise very satisfied Ligtroom and Photoshop user, I'm already a bit irritated when I see that this is hardly needed for professional photographers. And that, as I take various forum entries, for months!

In any case, as an otherwise very satisfied Lightroom and Photoshop user, I'm already irritated to see that the watermarking tool, important for professional photographers, has been unusable for so long.

Now I wish good luck in solving the problem. And of course I am happy about the other great dine in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop 😉

Best regards from Switzerland

I was facing the same issue and I know the bug exists in LR11.5 release, I do not know it it was fixed in the newest LR version.

While struggeling with the problem I found a workaround which seams to work for me - so you can try. It's very simple - just put an empty line befor and/or after the text definition and cutting does not appear.

Hope this helps. From my experience Adobe is not eager to quickly fix such bugs.

Quick question. When I export my pics in portrait orientation my signature is cut off. How can I change this?
