Question

Adobe Lightroom immediately closes after launch

(As for background details I'm on an hp laptop with Windows 11 version 22H2, 64-bit operating system)

I just made an Adobe account and got the Photography plan yesterday, and whenever I try to open Lightroom (It's Lightroom Version 7.0) it starts opening only to immediately close. It's wierd because it seems to just be Lightroom that has this issue; Photoshop and Indesign open just fine. I've tried a bunch of tips that I've found online, uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom, restarting my computer, renaming two of the files, a couple other things, but literally nothing has changed.

How do I make it so that I can actually use Adobe Lightroom?

I got it!

For me, it turned out to be not opening Adobe Creative Cloud before I opened Adobe Lightroom. Both were installed at the same time, but if you open LR first, you will be asked to sign in, and when you sign in, it confirms and then closes. Again and again and again. When I finally opened CC, I was asked to sign in there, and then LR started working.

If you are talking about Lightroom version 7.0, then this is the wrong forum ( @kglad apparently moved it to the wrong forum). You want to use the Lightroom (Ecosystem) forum.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
