As sated in title, when i use the ai generative remove tool in lightroom cc, it just stuck at 100% popup window and just lag and not responding...

Correct answer Claire H.

Hi @Stellan33464538e7u6, thank you for the update and system information. Since the Generative Remove tool works on a mobile hotspot but not on your regular Wi-Fi, the issue may be caused by a network restriction or a firewall blocking Lightroom’s access to Adobe’s cloud services. Let's try a few things:

1. Check your firewall or antivirus settings and ensure Lightroom has full internet access.

2. Switch your DNS to a public DNS like Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) to avoid ISP-level filtering.

3. Try the tool in Lightroom Web to see if it behaves differently. Let us know how that goes!

4. Make sure your GPU drivers are up-to-date.

5. Disable GPU acceleration in Lightroom’s preferences and test again.

Please let us know if any of these solutions help or if the issue persists. Thanks! ^CH

Hey, @Stellan33464538e7u6. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Lightroom from Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Have you recently updated Lightroom or the Windows OS? Try using Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/40Dz11t) temporarily to check if the remove tool works as expected. Some other features won't be available on Lightroom Web.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Hi thanks for the reply! Actually it should be Adobe Lightroom (cloud version) as I realize there's no more lightroom cc.

I did try to switch to using my mobile hotspot, and the ai generative removal tool just work!

My lightroom is already updated to latest version, not say recently like a few months ago version 8 i guess. Have not tried web version but will give a go later.

Here is the attach system info for your reference, many thanks!
