Android app: Export As versus Save To Device

I generally process Canon CR2 files and then Export As jpeg to output files. I have been happy with the results, which reflect my Lightroom edits. Today, I processed some jpegs from a Fuji compact camera and again Exported As jpeg. I noticed that some of the Exported As jpegs were much darker than they appeared in my Lightroom app after editing. I have never noticed this before. I then saved the same files using Save To Device instead and this time they faithfully reflected my Lightroom edits. I don't understand the difference between these to output choices. What I do notice is that exporting my edits using Save To Device takes longer than Export As jpeg, however. Can anybody shed any light on my experience? Thanks.

Hey @Andrew29420121mdlo. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. This is a great question. I have a close answer to your question.

What options do you set up when using 'Export as'? When you use Save Copy to device, Lightroom saves a JPEG of your image with the edits. It's a one-click process, so controls like Output Sharpening, JPEG Quality & color space are absent, which can change how the image appears when exported.

You check here to learn more about Export As: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/using/save-share-export-mobile-android.html

Thanks!

Thanks. I Export As jpeg Original size. There are no related options I can see, bar filename options. Nothing relating to sharpness etc. All adjustments are made in Lightroom, there are no further controls in the Export As dialogue.

Okay. I have read the link information. So it seems it is me being rather thick. For whatever reason, I selected Original thinking that meant original size in the Export As process. Oops. I see that I must choose Largest Available for jpeg file selection. I then get all the other related options. Since I have been using the app successfully up till know, I will put this aberration in my use of it down to a Senior Moment. Thanks for your help.
