P: iPad track pad not working

I've been using a trackpad and keyboard for my iPad for a while now and in all my apps the trackpad and keyboard work perfectly except for Lightroom which annoys me a bit because its the only app actually pay for.

First off you can't zoom into photos like in the default photos app or safari using the trackpad, I've tried everything and I don't even think there is a way to zoom in using a trackpad altogether

second of all its really buggy to use generally in the whole app

it really does annoy me because its a paid app and I expect a paid app to have somewhat basic support for these things.

Another thing i would love is shortcuts. I'm not familiar with the desktop/lightroom version of Lightroom but I'm sure it has some keyboard shortcuts and it would be great to have them on ipadOS

Hello @Thefatsparrow

I confirmed that trackpad zoom broke with LR iPad version 9.3, released in May 2024.  I converted your post to a bug to help track the issue with the team.

Regarding keyboard shortcuts, some do exist.  You can see in each view/context of the LR app what keyboard shortcuts are available by holding down the CMD key.  This is also documented at: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/using/keyboard-shortcuts-lightroom-mobile.html

Greetings all,

Adobe Lightroom Mobile product updates are released.  The November release (10.0.2) updates contain a fix for this issue.

Updates will be available via the Apple App Store. Note that it can take several days for some customers to receive a notification of an available update via their App Store.

Thank you for being so patient.

It is known that keyboard shortcuts in the iOS app are not as plentiful or robust as in the desktop app.  The team does aspire to improve this, but as is always the case, must weigh that against other priorities.  I encourage you to add your comments and your vote for improvements in this Ideas thread that already exists for this topic: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-ideas/p-improve-keyboard-shortcuts-fo...

Thanks again for reaching out to us!
