I am going to be working in a remote area with no internet connection. I want to import photos from my memory cards, cull and edit them, and then export the keepers to an SSD. Is this possible with Lightroom for iPad?

As long as you can see the SSD in the iOS Files app then yes, you can import, edit and export without internet connection. You cannot export Original + Settings though, so may be best to export as DNG.

Dependant on how much storage you have and shots you take, the iPad will fill up as the size of the Lightroom app grows, so you may have to delete photos out of Lightroom. You cannot link the files direct to the SSD like Classic, everything has to be imported into the app.

Test it out with Wifi and Mobile Dara (if you have that) turned off.

Thank you - that clears up my confusion! As long as I can export as DNG, I'm fine. I use Leica cameras mostly, so already work with DNG natively.
