Catalogue in Lightroom is broken

I'm unable to open a catalogue in Lightroom.
What can I do to fix it. 
The proposed steps are not working.

Hi there,

 

Sorry that Lightroom is not working as the catalog cannot be opened.

 

Would you mind sharing the version of Lightroom you are using? Lightroom Classic or Lightroom Desktop?

 

What exactly is the error message you're getting? Would you mind sharing a screenshot of the error message?  It would be a huge help if we can compare it to what we see on our end.
