Cut & Paste Edits Not working In Lightroom

I have an older version of Lightroom that prior to an update (years back) allowed for batch edits; Edit one image, select other images and hit sync. It was so easy then. That doesnt work anymore on that version. Go it.

So I joined the creative cloud hoping to have this feature, however, it seems its still an issue.

Problem:

I edit one image, copy edits, and paste edits but it doesnt replicate the edits to the selected group of images. 

It only works on a single image at a time.

Is this really a bug that hasnt been fixed even in the newest versions of LR all these years later?

what am I missing?
