Hi @L.Griffs

Thanks for reaching out. Let's try to fix this.

Which version of Lightroom are you using? Have you followed the solution mentioned on this related page? https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/vcruntime-error-on-launch.html

You can also do a manual clean-up & re-installation of the Camera Raw plug-in.

I had already tried this, after reading another post but for some reason it seems to have worked this time.
Thank you

Hi,

I had simulair issues to the one described. My Windows laptop broke and I had to do a new installation on a brand new one.
Niether Lr or LrC worked when installed, PS worked. When I changed to the oldest versions available in Adobe Creative Cload LrC worked.
I loaded some photos to not have an empty catalog and moved version, by version to newer versions. At one version I was prompted to install Media Feature Pack (accessable by additional windows features).
When I came to the newest version of LrC it worked. So did Lr at latest version.

My guess is that Lr and LrC needs the optional Windows feature Media Feature Pack.

During the fault finding I also installed the Visual C Distribution package and the lastest Camera Raw (before first installation of any other Adobe app), so install those as well if you have issues.

It might also have been that Adobe finally updated Lr and LrC, just when I was doing this... It might 😉
