Question

Exported JPGS do not reflect added grain

When exporting final edited NEF (raw) file from Lightroom to JPG (tried various different settings), the exported JPG doesn't reflect added grain (added full grain to test), or colour profiles. Is there a setting i'm missing? You can see the attached images - extra grainy one from edit in Lightroom and exported image with no grain. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

You need to be viewing both at 1:1 (100% zoom) and you need to view in LR within Develop module for most accurate previews. Also, export the NEF at full resolution so when you view the exported image at 1:1 and the same in Develop, it is apples to apples visual comparison. Resampling down the NEF to another application will affect this visually and not a fair comparision.

I am not seeing the issue on Lightroom Desktop 5.2. Exports have full grain.

Please go to Help>System Info… and provide us the exact installed version number of your software.

I've moved this to the Lightroom Classic forum.

I've tested in LrC 11.2 and Grain appears to be exporting correctly here as well.
