Fails to update on macOS Monterey

Adobe CC has kindly advised that both Lightroom Classic and CC cannot be updated on my iMac until the operating system is updated.

Upgrade of the operating system would require purchase of a new iMac which is not economically viable for a perfectly running computer.

Will subscriptions be lowered since the subscribed update service is no longer provided?

I doubt it, the same happened to me on High Sierra. I had to buy a new Mac too.

You should be able to still use the last release compatible with that OS though.

Guess I should be trailing DXO PhotoLab and capture one before my subscription to adobe runs out.

wouldnt it be kinder for Adobe to sell the installed software as a perpetual license valid for the installed version.
