Graduated Filter handles in Lightroom CC

I have just tried, for the first time, to use the Graduated Filter in the development module in Lightroom CC.  For several times, I saw the "handles" or lines of the filter when I dragged it over the photo.  On subsequent attempts to use the filter, I could not see the three parallel lines of the filter.  When I made slider adjustments, say exposure or saturation, I could see the changes to my image.  But, I cannot see the actual filter in order to drag it around to different locations on my image. I have closed and reopened Lightroom, and even restarted my computer.  I stall cannot see the parallel lines of the filter.

Did I "hide" the filter in some way?  Is there a way to show it again?

You must not be using the new cloud-based Lightroom CC because there is no develop module. You're either using Lightroom Classic CC or some previous version of the desktop-based version of Lightroom. At any rate, when you have that graduated filter tool activated just press the H key to display the overlay.

Thank you very much.  That is the solution.  How easy was that?  You are correct that I am not using the cloud-based Lightroom CC.  To do so would require me to update my system from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  I am concerned that some of my other programs will not work on Windows 10.

    Thanks again for your help.
