In my workflow I edit pictures in Lightroom and then open them in Photoshop. Unfortunately I always get an error message "cannot open Photoshop" on my new CoPilot+ Microsoft Surface Pro 11 (Windows on Arm) and the picture will not open in PS. It's really a pity as otherwise the Surface Pro is really great for editing on the go.
Are there any walk arounds?

What is the source and file format of the picture?

Either Sony raw files ARW from a Sony A7R IV or Nikon raw files NEF from a Nikon Z8. All files are in the cloud and not stored locally.

Are these compressed NEF's?
There are reports about issues with compressed NEF's on ARM. Maybe, it's related to that when trying to roundtrip to PS.
Can you please try the same with an uncompressed NEF, just to rule this out?

I tried it with lossless compression and got the same result that Photoshop starts but cannot open the file. I think the option uncompressed RAW does not exist anymore on the Z8. Or does it?
In fact I remember that I had the same issue a few years ago with the ARM-based MS Surface Pro X which got never resolved. The Pro X was too slow anyway for LR/PS but Pro 11 seems to work well with these programs apart from the issues discussded here.

And I tried JPG, it also does not work.

Unfortunately, this feature doesn't work at the moment. We'll have to wait for Adobe to fix it. Alternatively, we could submit a feature request to speed up the process.
