How are photos downloaded?

Hi,

When using this link to download the entire Lightroom library, how are photos downloaded, will the folder structure be intact or will it "just" be a dump of all photos in the same folder? I'm planning to upload and categorize thousands of photos but I'm curious to understand how photos are downloaded (in the folder/sub-folders or all in one folder) if I need to stop using LR for any reason.

Thanks

No, it's not ONE folder. Images will be downloaded into a standard capture date-based folder scheme using the yyyy/yyyy-mm-dd format.

TBMK- Yes, ONE folder.

And the 'Downloader' is only intended for primarily one purpose- If you "stop using LR".

You files will contain Capture Date metadata that would allow a re-structure of 'Date based' folders- very labour intensive!

Thanks Jim, I stand corrected. Learning every day. 🙂

I should have read the 'help' document more carefully-

"...writes them into a date-based folder hierarchy at the hard-drive location that you specify."
