How do you delete a date stamp on a photo that was imported?

I imported some old photos and they're all date stamped in the lower right had corner. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the stamp without cropping it out?

You could try the spot removal tool. That is the only tool that Lightroom has to remove something in an image.

In addition to Johan answer, you can sync that tool to the other images
