How to import a whole batch of photos from Files into LRecosystem ?

Hello,

I have copied my photos from an external hard drive to a folder on my iPad.

Now I would like to import these photos into LReco, but once I have tapped "Select all" it un-select them all and does nothing (it refreshes the view and all the ticking circle are gone) ...

If I tap on one photo, it does import it .... but I have hundreds of images to import so I cannot tap hundreds of time !....

Is there no OK or "import" button to validate the action of importing all the selected images ?

Could you tell me how to do, please ?

If you have a Lightroom Mobile subscription, but also a desktop computer, try our LR Web app for import from your external storage device:

1. sign into your account in a desktop web browser at https://lightroom.adobe.com 

2. if you wish, create or open an album into which you want to import the current batch of images

3. Drag and drop folders of images into your account in the web browser.  

...These will upload through the LR Web app and sync over to your tablet much more smoothly than trying to import from iOS Files like I think you are doing.

Thank you @Charlie.D I have done so but again it does import ONE image but not the whole batch .… it says "impossible to open several files at this location, please try to open only one" … (see screenshot)

Hi @Pucca 

Sorry for the slow reply.  Instead of trying to drag-&-drop multiple image files, just drag the folder that has all the images.  Most browsers will know to look inside the folder + subfolders when you drag-&-drop it into lightroom.adobe.com.

 

In the Lightroom Web app, I don't even bother clicking "Add Photos".  I just go to All Photos, or open the album where I want imports to go, and then I simply drag and drop folders of images into the LR Web app.  If you have multiple folders, put them all inside one main folder and drag that into the LR Web app. 

 

On the server duplicates images will be filtered out, just in case you wondered.
