It is really aggravating to occasionally login to lightroom(dot)adobe(dot)com only to find that my photos were uploaded without my knowledge and there is no obvious way to remove them. Sure, yeah, after 20 or 30 minutes of Googling around and puzzling it out I can finally get there. Holy, moly:
1. MAKE IT OBVIOUS in Lightroom CC that you think I want to upload my photos and then GET CONFIRMATION
2. Make it easy and straight forward to select all unshared photos and delete the bloody things from the cloud.
P.S. I changed this from a "Discussion" to a "Bug". You did not erase all of my typing like you did last time, so THANK YOU for fixing that.

When you log into http://lightroom.adobe.com/ you'll see any photos and videos that you have imported into either Lightroom Desktop, Lightroom Mobile or Lightroom Web itself.
By design, any of these applications will (unless you have pause selected or no internet connection) automatically upload to the Cloud. It is one of the Ecosystem's fundamentals.
There is currently no selective sync.
If Cloud Storage isn't what is required, would Lightroom Classic be a better option?

"Lightroom CC" IS "Lightroom Classic"
I fuzzily (and, I guess, incorrectly) remembered that you could select collections for syncing. Otherwise, why bother with the double arrow icon in the left column? If it is possible, how to do so needs to be made more obvious. (ALSO: if you can't select which collection, then you can't control the amount of cloud space you are using. That would be inconvenient, too.)

"Lightroom CC" IS "Lightroom Classic"
For clarification: Lightroom CC is the former name of Lightroom Desktop but "CC" hasn't been used for several years. For PC and Mac, currently, there is Lightroom Desktop (currently version 6.4) and Lightroom Classic (currently version 12.4).
Please go to Help>System Info… and provide us the exact installed version number of your software.
Then we can ensure it is posted in the right place.
