How To Updating Portfolio Website

Hi community, I am struggling with something very basic and hope someone can help me. I must be missing something very obvious.

 

I am using LR (not Classic) and Portfolio. 

I have created albums in LR and I have a "Connection" to Portfolio. I added the albums to the Connection by right-clicking on the album and then clicking on "Share To > Adobe Portfolio". 

The connection shows up in the left panel "Connections > Adobe Portfolio" menu item. When I click on it, I see all the albums I connected (using Share To > Adobe Portfolio) with Portfolio. In the list of albums, I can see the number of photos in each album, and for each album, I have a "view project" button that brings me straight to the website and I have a "resend" button (don't quite understand what this is for). Everything is online and visible on my website. So far so good. 

 

Now I want to make changes to my albums.

Let's keep it simple. I just want to add a new photo to an album with - let's say - 100 photos. I simply "add" the photo the the album in LR. Now my original album has, e.g. 101 photos. The connection (i.e. the album that shows up in the menu Connections > Adobe Portfolio) still has 100, it was not changed. When I click on resend, nothing really happens. When I go to my page on the Portfolio website and I use the context menu > "Reset from Lightroom", the added photo does not sync to my website.  The only way I can sync my albums to the Portfolio website is by deleting and reconnecting them through "Share To > Adobe Portfolio", but there must be a more elegant way.

    I am not sure I understand the instructions on this page:

    So, what I do is this: 

    1. I add a new photo to an album X in LR that I previously shared with Portfolio. 

    2. I go to my portfolio website, and to the respective album X. 

    3. I click on "Reset from Lightroom" in the context menu of the album X.

     

    The album X on my portfolio website is not updated. The photo I added in LR does not show up. 

    Am I misinterpreting the "re-import"?

    Changes made to LIghtroom images and albums will NOT SYNC to previously imported albums. You must replace the old album with a newly generated one.

     

    1. Create new Album and sync to Lightroom CC. 

    2. Resetting the existing album in Portfolio should replace it with the new one.

    3. Publish site.  Refresh your browser.
