Question

Image quality of shared album

Hello,

I have a question regarding the quality of pictures in published albums.

I use only Lightroom CC and directly import RAW files with a resolution of 6016 x 4016. There are no JPGs or exports of these RAW files in the library.

When I view the published albums online on my 4k monitor using the link, the album overview looks crisp and high resolution (please see attachment "lightroom share 1").

However when I then click on a picture and the entire picture fills my browser window, the resolution is cleary limited and the picture appears blurry (attachment "lightroom share 2").

The picture is clearly available in a higher resolution/quality in Lightroom CC (attachment "lightroom share 3").

What is my mistake? Many thanks in advance for your advice.

Best Regards

Sven

Hey @Sven25579962zgu3. Welcome to the Lightroom Community.

Shared albums for Lightroom & Lightroom Classic are limited in quality and optimized for viewing & sharing JPEG at 2048 px at Lightroom Web. It can appear slightly pixelated when shared or viewed.

The thumbnails in the web album grid will appear sharper compared to the full-screen view of the shared images.

Thanks!

Thanks Sameer. It´s a bit dissapointing not to be able to share a higher quality. I seem to have the same limitation when I share via Adobe Portfolio which according to this seems to be able to support higher resolutions? Any way for me to facilitate higher quality sharing through Adobe Portfolio?

Many Thanks

Sven
